Making a Frame or Card front with Brushes Digistamps and shapes

 

In this part we will be using a Digistamp in PSP  and making a Valentines Card front or Frame


Open your PSP  this will work in all versions... I'm using psp9 here  however some of the newer ones will have the tools in a different place..

  What you'll need:  Digistamps and Shapes:

 Lets start with a simple card front

Load PSP and  open image (4) from your supplies Zip or stamp with the Brush

Open a new Image 3600 by 3600px

Copy and paste image 4 into the new Image and move it to the left hand side 

 

 New Layer

Flood fill the new Layer with Black

Selections : Select all: Float : De-float

Selections: Contract 45

 

 

Hit Delete but DO NOT Deselect 

Selections: Contract 45  again

Flood Fill with Black 

Selections: Contract 25

Hit Delete

Deselect 

you should have this

 

with your Magic Wand tool

 

 

and still working on the top frame layer click in the void between the two black lines 

 

 

Change to the Layer with the Digistamp and hit Delete  the void should be clear now all the way around the frame

New Layer : Move to top

Open your Heart stamp from the supplies Zip and copy /paste on to this new top layer

this will automatically place the heart in the centre of the image

 

with your Magic Wand tool

 

 

Click into the centre of the Heart

Change to the Layer with the Digistamp and hit Delete

 

 

 

 

Open the Scroll stamp
from the supplies Zip and copy /paste as a new layer Move this layer to the top

Move the scroll to the bottom of the heart  (it looks good if you leave the very bottom point of the heart just peeping out underneath )

This is up to your preference but i felt the scroll was a bit too fine 

so 

Selections : Select all: Float : Defloat

Selections: Expand 8

Flood fill inside the sections with Black

 

Deselect

Still on the scroll layer..using the Magic Wand Tool click in any spaces that the digistamp layer is showing through

 

 

 Change to the Layer with the Digistamp and hit Delete

 

Back to the scroll layer..repeat this for anywhere the Heart shape is showing through

Change to Heart Layer and hit Delete

 

 Deselect

 

 

 

 Layers : Merge Visible

 

this would make a nice Quick page or backing paper  or sized down for a card front

the rest is up to your imagination  here's a couple i did
